Amazon free trials, with the exit date noted
Prime, Prime Student, Amazon Music Unlimited, Audible and Kindle Unlimited can all be tried without paying a cent. The trick is knowing which day each one ends: tell us when you start and we give you the exact date to decide calmly.
If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the paid membership starts.

How to try without an unexpected charge
Write the date down on day one
Set a phone reminder with the date the calculator gives you. It is the step almost everyone skips.
One trial at a time
Start them all together and you will not use any of them properly. Pick the one you want most and leave the rest for later.
Cancel whenever you like
All of them can be cancelled during the trial. If you do not, the subscription becomes paid automatically.
Frequently asked questions about Amazon free trials
Do I need a card to start a trial?
Yes. Trials ask for a valid payment method because they renew when they end.
Are Prime and Prime Video two separate trials?
No. Prime Video is part of Prime, so it is a single 30-day trial covering both.
Can I repeat a trial I have already used?
It depends on the service and your account. Each trial page tells you whether you can take it again.
How long is the Amazon Prime free trial?
The Amazon Prime free trial lasts 30 days and includes Prime Video.
How long is the Prime Student free trial?
The Prime Student free trial lasts 90 days, three times as long as Prime's.
How long is the Amazon Music Unlimited trial?
The Amazon Music Unlimited free trial lasts 30 days. Afterwards it renews each month at the current fee.
How long is the Audible trial?
The Audible free trial lasts 30 days, or 3 months for Amazon Prime customers.
How long is the Kindle Unlimited trial?
The Kindle Unlimited free trial lasts 30 days, for accounts that have not had another free trial in the last 12 months.
Do Prime Video channels have a free trial?
It depends on each channel. It is stated before you switch it on and is independent of the Prime trial.
Does it cost money to cancel a free trial?
No. Cancelling during the trial period costs nothing.
What happens if I do not cancel a free trial?
The subscription becomes a paid one automatically and the fee is charged.
Where are Amazon trials cancelled?
In the memberships section of your Amazon account, or in the app store if you signed up from your phone.
When should I decide whether to keep a subscription?
A week before the last free day: day 23 of a 30-day trial and day 83 of a 90-day one.
Can I start several trials at once?
You can, but it is better to take them one at a time and leave a month between them so that you really use them.
In what order should I take the trials?
One suggestion: Prime, then Audible, which has 3 months with Prime, then Kindle Unlimited and finally Music Unlimited.
What does the free trial calculator do?
From the date you start, it gives each service's last free day and the recommended day to decide.
How much does Prime cost after the trial?
€4.99 a month or €49.90 a year, at October 2026 prices.
How much does Audible cost after the trial?
€9.99 a month, according to its 2026 programme.
Do I keep access if I cancel before the trial ends?
With many services yes, until the last day, but not with all. The cancellation screen says so.
Can I rely on the reminder email before the charge?
Not as your only system. The reliable thing is to set a calendar reminder yourself on day one.
