Editorial methodology: every fact, with its source and its date
In short
Global Store Afiliados takes prices and terms from Amazon's official pages and press announcements, publishes them with the date they were checked and reviews them every three months or whenever Amazon announces a change. The sums in the comparisons and calculators follow public formulas, explained on this page.

Key points
- Sources: Amazon's official pages and announcements; trade press only when the fact is not public.
- Dates: every page shows when it was published and when it was updated.
- Review: quarterly, and whenever Amazon changes a price.
- Corrections: applied when we receive the report, and the date is updated.
- Affiliation: the commission does not decide what we recommend.
Where the facts come from
- Main source: the official page of each service on Amazon.es, Audible.es or Prime Video.
- Second source: announcements from Amazon's press room.
- Third source: trade press, only when Amazon does not publish the fact openly. When that happens, we say so.
Every guide ends with a section listing its sources and check date. If a fact comes from the press rather than from Amazon, the text says so and recommends confirming it on the official page.
How we handle prices
- Subscriptions: we publish the price with the month it was checked.
- Products: we publish no prices, because they change daily.
- Promotions: described as temporary and with their date.
How often we review the content
| What is reviewed | When |
|---|---|
| Subscription prices and free trials | Every three months |
| Any guide affected by an Amazon change | When the change is known |
| Blog articles | Once a year |
| Links and structured data | Each time the site is published |
The update date of each page changes only when its content has been reviewed.
How the comparison figures are calculated
The comparisons use simple arithmetic on the published prices. These are the formulas:
- Annual cost of a monthly subscription: monthly fee × 12.
- Saving from paying Prime annually: (€4.99 × 12) − €49.90 = €9.98.
- Prime Student saving over four years: (€49.90 − €24.95) × 4 = €99.80.
- Cost of a combination: the sum of the annual cost of each service.
How the calculators work
| Calculator | Formula |
|---|---|
| Wedding registry gifts | One gift per invitation: guests ÷ 2, with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 100. Split: 50% up to €50, 35% between €50 and €150 and 15% big gifts. |
| Wedding registry timeline | Create the registry 120 days before, share it 90 days before, review it 21 days before and send thanks up to 30 days after. |
| Baby registry timeline | Counting from the due date: create the registry 140 days before (week 20), share it 84 days before (week 28) and have the essentials 28 days before (week 36). |
| Prime Student dates | Start date + 90 days. The reminder to decide is set 7 days earlier. |
| Free trials | Start date + 30 days for Prime, Music Unlimited, Kindle Unlimited and Audible; + 90 days for Prime Student; + 3 months for Audible if you are a Prime member. |
The registry calculator rules are guidelines of our own. The trial lengths are the ones Amazon publishes.
Corrections policy
If you find a mistake, write to us from the contact page naming the page and the fact. We check it against the official source, correct it and update the date of the page.
Independence and affiliation
We are an Amazon affiliate site and earn a commission on qualifying purchases. Three rules protect the reader:
- Every guide includes a section on when the service is not right for you.
- Every page discloses the affiliate relationship.
- No recommendation depends on the size of the commission.
Writing and review tools
We use assisted-writing tools to prepare and translate the texts. The site owner reviews every page before it is published and is responsible for its content.
What we do not do
- We do not copy customer reviews or product page images.
- We do not publish invented reviews or testimonials.
- We do not ask for personal data to use the site.
- We have no access to Amazon orders or accounts.
How to cite our figures
You may cite any figure or table from this site by naming the source “Global Store Afiliados”, the page address and the check date shown on it. The tables in the subscription comparison can be downloaded as CSV.
